We slipped out in the night. It was easy--things were becoming more rancorous in the bar, so when each of us left one by one, no one noticed. First went Delphia, then Luna. Both of them kept their heads down, and stayed silent.

I checked out the window to see they both made it. They held out a thumbs up.

"Your turn," I told Calliope.

She looked out the window again, then hesitated. "First, I want to talk to you."

I blinked. I didn't expect that. "What's up?" I asked.

She looked up at me, and I could see tears in her eyes. "I...I'm not good at this, am I?"

"At what?" I asked.

"At–at guiding people. At being in charge." She started to pace, running her hand through her thick hair. "I don't know what I'm doing. The only reason I took over with those girls is because someone had to. I knew they needed help, and I could provide it. But...But I can't keep it up."

I frowned, taking her hand to pull her towards me. "Calliope, you saved their lives. You're doing right by them."

"Not the way you do." She stared up at me. "I–I see you in charge of them, and I think, wow. I can't do that. It's just...it's not something I was made to do, Richard."

I shook my head, moving my other hand to her waist. She relaxed into my touch, and that worry line between her brows receded slightly. "Do you want to be in charge?"

She blinked. "I have to, I–"

"Do you want to?"

That made her stop. She looked away. "No," she answered honestly. "I–I do what I have to do, of course, but–"

"You don't have to do anything. We're a team now, remember?" I cupped her face, running my thumb along her cheek. "I'll help you. If you don't want to lead, I'll take over. As long as I have your input so I don't do anything too horribly stupid."

She laughed a little at this, her voice soft and tinkling. She smiled up at me, pressing her body against mine. I could feel the swell of her breasts, the slight movement in her hips. It was tempting. So damn tempting.

I kissed her. She relaxed into it, letting me guide her. I knew we only had moments alone before the others would worry, so I had to make the most of it. She let me take command of her mouth, claiming it as my own. I felt her moan, and her hands moved down to the growing length of my cock. Her nipples perked against the thin fabric of her shirt, pressing against me.

I pulled away against my body's instinct. She chased after my lips, not letting me go.

I laughed, bringing her to the bed and dropping her onto it. She finally pulled away, green eyes twinkling. "Are you going to take care of business? Take charge?"

I smirked. "Maybe I should. Maybe I'll teach you to obey someone other than yourself."

She shivered at my words. I watched her plush lips part, moving towards me.
